Sept 26, which is my bday, is also International Observe the Moon night. I am
interested in setting up an event that we do Virtual, with one or more
telescopes doing remote viewing, such as be able to show what's being shown in
your telescope through virtual means, Zoom or Google Meet, to the public, of

To set this up, I would like to know who can do it, which means we are using:

Star Gazing nights, that we need a minimum of 1 telescope with this capability,

Can we make this happen? And who wants to help out. And for this, the minimum
is one PAS Member with the ability to provide the views through their
telescope.
Let me know your thoughts, and I will get this event set up.
Just for your knowledge, PAS has tried to be involved with these events every
year. And if we are involved, we will be listed on the official IOMN site which
gets exposure to PAS. So, I think it would be good for the club to offer this
experience on a date that the world is wanting to see the Moon and more.
Send me your thoughts and ideas and tell me if you are free to assist on this
night, and what part would you like to help with. Thanks so much!

Mark - are you able to do this event?
I figure we can do the event for 1 hour, or 1.5 hours, and then call it a
night.Here's the data on this night:Sunset about 6:15pmMoon is lit 79% and is
visible at 6:15pmJupiter is visible 6:30pmSaturn is visible 6:40pmDark is about
7:45pmMars rises 7:30pm
We could start about 7pm which would meanwe might get to see the Moon, Jupitre,
Saturn and Marson this night, if we do the event to 8:30pm.That's my suggestion
but the astronomer doing the event will have the final say on what time to
start and end.
Feed back is requested. Let me know if I'm setting this up and who is hosting
the event, meaning setting up the link for everyone to access. The host should
also MUTE everyone except the main presenter. And all questions and requests
for objects will be through Chat. This is how Lowell does it and it works well.
Wishing everyone a super day. I would suggest we get this set up sooner than
later so that advertising of it can be done with time to draw a huge crowd.
