Just a reminder that the 49th Annual RTMC Astronomy Expo is this coming
Memorial Day weekend! Thursday is New Moon, so come and observe at 7,000
ft! And enjoy a weekend of camping in the cool mountains! The Theme this
year is "The Day the Sun Disappears", so we've lined up a lot of talks and
info for the upcoming total Solar eclipse. The Main Speaker is Dr Fred
Espenak, NASA's "Mr Eclipse". He will also be bringing many of his books so
we can all get *signed* copies!
Bring the kids! Children are *FREE* and college students with ID half
price. Since this is a YMCA camp, there's lots of activities for the whole
family.
Beginner? We have a whole slew of talks and workshops for folks new to
Astronomy.
As always, vendors will be coming, and the Swap Meet will be early Saturday
morning!
