If you think of the Post as the Babylon Bee, it all makes perfect sense. Not as
well written, but readable in that context. And yes, half of the electorate is
indeed that stupid. They believe the lies of the Democrats, which have replaced
God and the Bible for them. Nikita Khrushchev was only partly right; they
didn't bury us, we became them. I fully expect the demagoguery about Roe v.
Wade and gun control to sway the idiocracy in the midterms, women in
particular, to keep Congress close. With luck the Republicans will net at least
one Senate seat and possibly retake the House, but it's no sure thing. Sadly,
the arc of history seems to be arcing to lunacy here. As evidence of that, The
Hill had a piece this week listing the five favorites to succeed Biden. They
are Kamala, Sanders, Warren, Buttigieg and Klobuchar. Only Amy is remotely
sane, and she is pretty bad if you love America.
