I am getting an inkling of what it must have felt like to be a Jew in Nazi
Germany. My sense of patriotism has always been at the high end of the scale
(as evidenced by voluntarily going into the military in 1968 and asking for
duty I knew would bring me to the combat zone) and remains so, but I now feel
like my political views, mainstream as they have always been, being the world's
greatest fan of the Constitution, and opposed to the grotesque racialization of
our society and in favor of aggressively enforcing our immigration and criminal
laws, somehow now make me an enemy of the people. Merrick Garland's likening of
parents who oppose Leftist school board policies to domestic terrorists scares
the shit out of me. The dishonesty of the media in virtually everything also
scares the shit out of me. Everything in the MSM is propaganda today.
