This morning the ole ball and chain had not yet turned on the local news on TV
so I asked her where the chirping birds were. She was offended by this. But
have you noticed that morning TV is now dominated by young women with
high-pitched voices spouting pap and nonsense? Maybe it's only in the DC area,
but I doubt it. A far cry from the serious men, probably WWI vets, who read the
news back in the 1950s.
