Price of natural gas fluctuates depending on supply and demand, and most people
have their gas bills on floating rather than fixed cost/rate.
Severe freeze caused many gas providers equipment to seize, just as severe
freeze caused demand to skyrocket and prices went up exponentially for a while.
Electric bills since most electric in Texas comes from natural gas power.
I expect the Feds will step in and call this natural disaster and make people
whole.
