This makes it sound like the NFL, not the networks, are responsible for "make
goods", although there is one reference to NBC Sports. I thought the networks
paid huge amounts to get the right to air the games, then sold time to
advertisers in the hope of making a large profit. The NFL's problem is not the
product as such, it's the politicization of the game and allowing that to
happen. Eventually that will fade and things will go back to a more normal
time. There are those who will never watch another NFL game, but their
demographic will fade.
