Wow, your lucky parents! Though we have yet to see the view, as you’ll note
from my pics haha! I don’t think we’ll have blue skies and clear weather again
while we’re here, but only 2 full days to go… I’m trying not to think about
going back to normal, aka work! (Although I won’t be able to go to the office
for 2 weeks, as it’s in the ACT, but that works for me!)

A couple of days ago Dohn booked us in at the Boiler House cafe/restaurant at
Medlow Bath for tonight’s meal. We booked for 7pm, given the sun sets just
after 8pm at the moment, and there are meant to be spectacular views.
Turned out our reservation was actually for the much posher Wintergarden

old and (yes, rather majestic) Hydro Majestic

underdressed but hey, I’m used to that haha. And the food was sensational. We
had 2 courses, main and dessert.
Slow Roasted Wagyu Striploin: Oxtail Ragout, Roast Garlic Celeriac Puree,
Heirloom Carrot, Bearnaise, Tarragon Dust
Sweet Corn & Honey: Sweet Corn Dome, Meringue, Honey Milk Skin, Lavender
Honey Sorbet, Honeycomb, Honey Flakes
The view out the window? Hmmmm. (If you open the web page I linked to above,
the photos will give you an idea of what we were meant to see!)
The sunset when we left, just after 8pm? Here you go!
