Marie and myself successfully captured her swarm from the magnolia tree. Marie
carefully broke the twigs and they dropped beautifully into the box. There were
only a few flying around but after leaving them for 30 minutes or so we think
they joined the rest. Carefully drove them back, slightly worried but all
safely snug in their box and no escapees. They are now in the potting shed in
the swarm box. Shall I leave them in there until tomorrow evening now? I have a
new TBH and hope that they like it, certainly too far to fly home!
We are thrilled to have them and also to know the swarm’s provenance. They
come from Gemma originally. Huge thanks to Marie.
Fingers crossed they stay and enjoy urban living!
