Thanks Eric, that looks great, I am definitely interested. Maybe after
lockdown we could meet up and talk about it/you show me? I did have a look
at Matt Somerville's website earlier and loved the look and sound of his
Golden hive but couldn't find any prices for the Golden Hive, only for the
Freedom and Log hives.

About half of this comb is now in jars and will be distributed at one jar
per household around the village on dog walks over the next few days.  It
will be a present from the bees to the gardeners, of which we have many.  A
few are of the "dandelions are weeds to be sprayed" variety but most are
slowly coming round to seeing that the reverse is true and allowing floral
diversity results in honey arriving on the doorstep.

This is newly harvested tree blossom honey, fruit trees and various maple
hybrids. We often get a heavy flow. Two of my super insulated hives (Warré
cross section but golden hive depth) built up very rapidly and each gave
two supers of harvest. In total one yielded 12.25 kg and the other 8.25kg.
Still plenty left in the main hive body for the bees.
