I will be free on Tuesday or Friday for fleece collection, whichever day suits
you.
Sadly, although the swarm did really well through to January we suffered two
mini tornadoes, which destroyed all three hives. The hives were full of winter
stores and bees but the winds were too strong even for our tethered efforts and
all was lost.
So in preparation for next winter we have plant an additional hedge to act as a
wind barrier and reinforced all ties. At the moment we have a swarm from Paul,
which is doing really well. We are hoping for two more if/when available.
Please let me which day suits. I am going to guild on Saturday but hope to put
in an appearance to the Bee meeting in the afternoon as it is nearby, so could
collect then if that helps you. Otherwise it is easier for me to come to
Banbury.
