My warres are full to bursting this year & I’ve not seen either colony swarm -
although I’m sure they have !
Is there an optimal time to take some honey ? ( I normally leave it for the
bees)
In the very hot weather ive got bunches of bees bearding off the front of the
hive - presumably just trying to cool the hive ?

will picnic, set up an empty Top Bar Hive, examine two occupied TBHs and a wild
colony in a tree, discuss out-apiary pros and cons and generally gossip. There
are woods, lakes, and a chest high grass / wildflower meadow.
