I would wait 2 weeks or so to remove the mouse guards. I think the bees are
still intermittently clustering as the temperature is low, they need to be
fully active to defend their entrances. As soon as the temperature is
consistently above 8C (flying temp) in the day, take it off, this will allow
them to drag bodies out.
