Bees for Development have asked us to forward the message below to our
members.
Saw loads of drones pouring out of one of our hives around 4PM yesterday,
got a good video. As Lynne says, it seems a bit late in the day for this,
but they do it most days. It's always a bit odd seeing elevated levels of
activity, you wonder what's wrong until you look closely and see their big
boggly eyes and realise, oh, only drones on their daily mating flight.

of Ethiopia's beekeeping culture, meet beekeepers on the shores of Lake
Tana Biosphere Reserve, see how they make basket hives, learn
swarm-catching methods
- and you will have the chance to see how people here work to nurture their
bee colonies, not as a light-hearted hobby but as means to create resilient
livelihoods. You will visit beekeeping families and *see the impact of our
work in North Ethiopia* and experience the rich Ethiopian culture during

with Gladstone Solomon*, now in its 18th year! Starting the Safari
adventure in Tobago with light bee activities to acclimatise yourself to

most interesting bees and visiting friendly beekeepers.
