Brilliant! Those bees obviously know a good thing when they see one. Mine do
too. I've just gone through all five of my Drayton hives and although I had my
smoker with me, I didn't need to use it. Andrew

Subject: [oxnatbees] Drayton
About 4 weeks ago I picked up a Drayton hive from Andrew Bax and set it up in
my garden, put a little lure and a small piece of comb in it and left it. Over
the last few days there was a some interest with 4-6 bees taking an interest
then yesterday it peaked at around 20. At around 1700 they mostly left then at
half past a large swarm of bees arrived, filled the air for two to 3 minutes
and they all shot it the hive. It was very exciting. Looking forward to see how
they shape up and use the Drayton hive.
