Hello Overmountain Brewers,
Hope everyone saw Joe's reminder yesterday about the Gathering of Brewers
at the River House. Let me add to it and say THANK YOU very much Joe for
inviting us to the event at this great location.
Hope everyone can all attend this event, as this is the 5th year that
Overmountain Brewers has been made welcome at Joe's river house gathering.
We have had people camping, riding in the boat, even swimming in the
river. There is always great beer/wine/mead available. Oh, did I mention
the wonderful people and the food grilling? Yum!
Last year coming to this event, we drove through Abingdon with rain coming
down so hard people were pulling to the side cause they were unable to
see. We drove on and by the time we got to Mendota, there wasn't any
rain. Arriving at Joe's as we unpacked chairs and beer and we were unsure
how long we would be out from under the tent (we heard the thunder in the
distance).
In the distance is where the storm stayed and I didn't get wet at all. :-)
We hung out, ate, drank, and were happy to be visiting everyone.
Even if rain does come this year, there will be a place for us to hang out,
so don't worry, just be there. Be sure to prepare for an awesome time and
remember this event is open to everyone so bring a friend.
