Hey Kenneth, isn't it unusual that a record player of that era would have been
able to play both Edison records and the usual records which were flat? I've
heard the Edison records were sylindrical. Have you ever seen one or collected
one, or is that music before your era? I think they were making the last Edison
records in 1928 or 1929 before Edison stopped puttingout records. Yes, I, too,
think it's absolutely amazing you've got that machine and that you've managed to
keep it going all these years.
What also strikes me as amazing is that although your electric turntabledoesn't
have 78 speed on it, you were able to get Goldwave to speed up the recordings to
the right speed! You're a pretty ingenius guy, I must say! What a delight to
know you at least in some way!

I bought the wind up record player from the junk man in 1968 for $12 and
paid him $3 to bring it home for me. I had to have a repair made but after
that the player has serviced me well for almost 50 years. The clostest I
could date it was a ad in a trade magazine put out in 1919.
It is a USONA make and the playing head turns for either the standard
records or the Edison records.I have never seen another player like this
one.
I have found a place where I can get parts if needed.
Would anyone be intrested in the old player sound if I put the mike up in
the horn and made recordings.

I'm Kenneth Atkins and I'm new here, what is this list all about can

I'm 70 years old and live on a small farm out in the country where I can
keep a milk cow and a llama. I love the old time country music and have

78 RPM records at the last count. I keep a USONA wind up player for
playing
them.
I enjoy homestead crafts like making my own beer and hard cheese along
with
making my own record sleeves and weaving rugs on my loom.
I also do home canning when I can find the extra food on sale.
Anybody like farming stuff.
