JONI SLEDGE OF SISTER SLEDGE DIES NEW YORK (AP) Singer Joni Sledge of
Sister Sledge used to notice "a genuine kind of humility" when they'd
perform their hit "We Are Family. Sledge said in a 2015 Associated
Press interview people would drop their inhibitions and for a moment,
everyone united. Sledge was found dead at her home in Phoenix on Friday
at the age of 60. A cause of death has not been determined, and
publicist Biff Warren says Sledge had not been sick. He says Sister
Sledge last performed in October. Nile Rodgers, who produced "We Are
Family," tweets, "My heartfelt condolences to your family because they
are my family too. We did something pretty amazing together. Sound:
