IT'S ADELE'S NIGHT AT THE GRAMMYS LOS ANGELES (AP) Here's something you
may not know about Adele's song "Hello": the original line was not
"Hello, it's me," but "Hello, misery. It also had three different
choruses. "Hello" was named record and song of the year at the Grammys,
and her "25" album was named album of the year. She is the first act to
sweep album, record and song of the year twice. She won in all five
categories in which she was nominated. Adele says Beyonce's "Lemonade"
was her album of the year, and she voted for it. She says she felt the
same way the first time she heard "Lemonade" as when she was 10 years
old and she first heard Destiny's Child singing "No No No. It's not
like Beyonce was shut out. She won best urban contemporary album and

TRIBUTE LOS ANGELES (AP) Adele says she had a shaky rehearsal for
"Fastlove" for the George Michael tribute at the Grammys last night.
She started the song, dropped an F-bomb and said she had to start over
to do right by Michael. Adele said backstage she remembers seeing the
"Fastlove" video for the first time as a kid and thinking how hot
Michael was. She says she was devastated when he died and decided if
there was a tribute to him, she was going to do it. She says Michael's
family didn't want a tribute initially, but they changed their minds

LOS ANGELES (AP) At first it looked like Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots
had his fly down, but no, he was really taking off his pants. Twenty
One Pilots accepted their award for best pop group performance in their
underwear. Singer Tyler Joseph says when they were nobodies watching
the Grammys one year, they noticed everyone was in their underwear.

CHANCE THE RAPPER WINS AT HIS GAMBLE LOS ANGELES (AP) Chance The Rapper
lobbied to get his "Coloring Book" album eligible for Grammy
consideration and it paid off. It won best rap album, the first
digital-only release to win. He also won best rap performance and best

ANGELES (AP) Rory Feek of Joey and Rory promised his wife during last
year's Grammys that if their "Hymns" album was nominated this year,
he'd go to the Grammys. She died in March. "Hymns" won the roots gospel
award. Feek says his wife joked that she'd know about the win before he

WINNERS LOS ANGELES (AP) Dave Mustaine of Megadeth says it's OK that
they were nominated 12 times before they finally got a Grammy win. He
says good things come in twelves, like the 12 apostles or a case of
beer. William Bell got his first win with the Americana award. He says
he sees his win as "a new lease on life. Bobby Rush says his win for
traditional blues album was for his 374th record. He doesn't see it as

MORRIS: FROM GRAMMY CAMP TO GRAMMY WIN LOS ANGELES (AP) Eleven years
ago, Maren Morris was one of the first kids to go to Grammy Camp. Now
she's got a Grammy of her own, for best country solo performance.
Morris says every kid who went to that camp dreamed of being on that
stage or to "walk away with some hardware. She says it's crazy to
actually have a Grammy of her own. Morris says she planned on
celebrating by having her first drink in a month because she didn't
have to worry about fitting in her Grammy dress anymore. SOUND: 3:32
aes COUNTRY GRAMMYS: VINCE GILL, STURGILL SIMPSON AMONG WINNERS LOS
ANGELES (AP) Vince Gill doesn't want to seem ungrateful, since he had
20 Grammys before last night, but he kind of didn't want to win the
best American roots Grammy for writing "Kid Sister" for The Time
Jumpers. At least, he didn't want to win it alone. Gill says he would
have rather that they would celebrate a group win. Sturgill (STUR'-jil)
Simpson won the country album award for "A Sailor's Guide To Earth.
Maren Morris won the country solo performance Grammy. Pentatonix
featuring Dolly Parton won the best country duo/group performance
Grammy for their version of "Jolene. Willie Nelson won, but not for
country. He won best traditional pop vocal album for his collection of

ANGELES (AP) Hillary Scott was bawling when she and her family won not
one but two contemporary Christian Grammys last night. Scott says one
of the wins was for "Thy Will," a song about her miscarriage, so that
was one reason she was crying. She says she was also crying because it
meant the first time her co-writers, Bernie Herms and Emily Weisband,
had won a Grammy. Scott says she made the album to help her cope with
loss, including the death of her grandfather, yet she wanted to make

SOMETHING LOS ANGELES (AP) Daya (DAY'-ah) sure was excited to win a
Grammy last night. She had never won anything before. Daya won a dance
Grammy for collaborating with The Chainsmokers on "Don't Let Me Down.
Daya says it's not a bad place to begin. Flume won the best dance album

GRAMMYS LOS ANGELES (AP) One of the players in David Bowie's backing
band for his "Blackstar" album says Bowie was happy that critics
understood his vision. Saxophonist Donny McCaslin says it meant a lot
for Bowie to see the critical acclaim the album was getting before he
died. "Blackstar" won five Grammys last night. AL JARREAU DIES LOS
ANGELES (AP) Al Jarreau died just days after he announced he was
retiring because of exhaustion. Jarreau died yesterday at the age of
76. His hits include "We're In This Love Together" and the theme for
the TV show "Moonlighting. He was the rare artist to win Grammys for
R-and-B, jazz and pop. Jarreau originally studied to be a social worker

CHARGED WITH TAKING LOADED GUN ON AIRPLANE ATLANTA (AP) Rick Derringer
did not mean any harm when he brought a gun onto a commercial airline
last month. His manager says Derringer thought he could take the gun
onto a flight because he has a permit to carry one and he takes it with
him on flights 30 to 50 times a year. Derringer was detained in
Atlanta's airport at the end of a trip to Mexico on January 9 when a
loaded gun was found on his carry-on bag. Air passengers may take
unloaded guns in locked hard-sided containers in checked baggage only,
and they must declare them to the airline at check-in. The head of
Atlanta's airport says the person who missed the weapon during
screening has been fired. Derringer faces a criminal charge. JONI
MITCHELL SHOWS UP TO PRE-GRAMMY EVENT LOS ANGELES (AP) Joni Mitchell
made a rare public appearance over the weekend at a pre-Grammy gala.
Filmmaker Cameron Crowe escorted Mitchell in a wheelchair to the Clive
Davis Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. Mitchell suffered a brain
aneurysm in March 2015. Performers included Mary J. Blige, Neil
Diamond, DNCE and Bell Biv DeVoe. GEORGE MICHAEL'S FAMILY WANTS TO KNOW
WHO LEAKED EMERGENCY CALL LONDON (AP) George Michael's family is
"extremely upset" that a recording of the emergency call of his death
was leaked to the press. Family lawyers say they are calling for an
investigation. The Sun newspaper in Britain published a transcript and
audio Saturday of the call made by Fadi Fawaz, Michael's partner, on
December 25. Fawaz says on the call, "I've been trying to wake him up
for the last hour....He's gone. An initial autopsy on Michael was
inconclusive, and the results of toxicology tests have not been
released. JAMIE LYNN SPEARS' DAUGHTER RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL NEW
ORLEANS (AP) The 8-year-old daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears is recovering
at home, a week after she was trapped underwater in an all-terrain
vehicle accident. Maddie Spears-Aldridge was released from the hospital
Friday. An ambulance crew pulled her from a pond after her family
members could not free her. Her aunt, Britney Spears, writes on
Facebook she's grateful Maddie was able to go home and "it's truly a
miracle. PRINCE MUSIC NOW STREAMING ONLINE NEW YORK (AP) Prince's
catalog is now available on all streaming services, not just Tidal.
Warner Brothers Music made the announcement to tie in with the Prince
tribute at the Grammys last night. Prince was notoriously protective
about his music being online. He had chosen Tidal to stream his music
before he died, but then those rights got tied up in legal battles
because Prince did not leave a will. PRINCE ITEMS WILL BE AUCTIONED
THIS WEEK BOSTON (AP) The beaded jacket Prince wore in the film "Under
the Cherry Moon" is up for auction. RR Auction says the jacket still
has makeup on the collar because it's too delicate to launder. Other
items for sale include the document Prince signed to play The Kid in
the film "Purple Rain," handwritten lyrics for "The Screams of Passion"
and a handwritten awards show speech. The auction will be held
Thursday. DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN INVOLVED IN BUS ACCIDENT WARSAW, Poland
(AP) Thirteen people were hurt when a truck rammed into the tour bus of
the band The Dillinger Escape Plan outside Krakow, according to Polish
authorities. The band members were not seriously hurt, and a pregnant
woman traveling with them was not hurt. A police spokeswoman says the
most injured person was the truck driver. The Dillinger Escape Plan
called off their show last night in Krakow. Their next stop is tomorrow
