ACB welcomes Madelyn Buzzard to Sparks Nevada as our 2017 talking book
narrator.
In 1983, Madelyn Buzzard walked into the American Printing House for the Blind
in Louisville, Kentucky to audition for their Talking Book program, and, as
they say, the rest is history. For over thirty years she has recorded thousands
of titles in multiple genres, including murder, mayhem, medicine, and Miss
Manners! She was a proud recipient of the Alexander Scourby Award in Fiction in
1994.
Born in New Jersey, she studied theatre; graduating from the American Academy
of Dramatic Arts in NYC, and education; receiving a BA from the University of
louisville. She has appeared on stage, screen and television throughout her
career and now enjoys skiing, fishing and cooking with her husband,
stepchildren and six, soon to be seven, grandchildren!
She was married in lake Tahoe 29 years ago, loves Nevada, and is looking
forward to sharing time and stories with you all. Thank you for the
opportunity!
