Hi Kathleen,
Wow, that would annoy me, too. Doesn’t he know that just about all of your
neighbors are blind just as you are? Perhaps he doesn’t, and if he were to
know that, maybe he’d have helped you. That’s a definite disadvantage living
in an apartment complex housing most if not all blind people, though you’d
think some of the folks who are high partials would help those who are total
with things like addressing envelopes and at least looking at the return
addresses on envelopes so you could weed out the mail which is junk mail, which
most of it is.
Idea: Could you possibly call the local library (not NLS library) to have them
help you research organizations which may have volunteers who are willing to
read you mail and help you with addressing things? I know others who need help
with reading mail and stuff like that and especially when they haveto have a
box addressed. I’ve helped a couple of people locally with those kinds of
things.
As for keyboards, I have a keyboard that you could hold on your lap. Its keys
are full sized. I’ve thought about sending it to you but am not quite sure
whether I want to go with an android phone at some point. Anyway, Logitek does
make a full-sized full-keys keyboard. I paid under $20.00 for it. When I
originally bought it, I had it paired with an android phone which turned out to
be defective, and the service provider I had wouldn’t repair the phone, even
though I bought it directly from them and paid full price immediately for it.
When they wouldn’t repair it, I dropped my account with them, and I went with A
T and T and got the I Phone. I’ll tell ya, it’s a ton easier using a keyboard
(at least it was for me) than using just your fingers when working a smart
phone of any kind!
Glad the construction is being relatively quiet! Hope it stays that way!
Linda G.

I had one of the keyboard but the keyboard I saw head very small keys. I wanted
a larger keyboard. Oh boy no our fire alarm is going off. I have no idea why
either. Anyway I'm just hearing the single beat beat beep. It's like quarter 11
at night. So now I guess the fire department will show up but we won't have to
leave her anything. Who knows what's going on or what set it off unless it's
just malfunctions. But the keyboard I saw the Apple store I wasn't happy with.
I wish somebody would make a keyboard with large keys like a computer has maybe
something with the iPhone considering like a tray. That would be really cool if
somebody design something like that. Man it's been something that's going
around in my head why can't somebody design something like that I know I can't
because it will require site. So that's basically how that goes. But I figured
out how to expand the thread when there's more than one messaging thread so
that's cool. But I have to find out from my for fighter if they have a spam
filter because I'm not getting some of my message Messages through Yahoo
groups. And there's a couple groups that I'm on on that list serve it I'm not
getting the messages. Maybe I'll have to call my provider and find out what the
deal is. Anyway I was kind of annoyed with one of the guys in the ham group
Tuesday night. I went to the meeting at all I asked him to do was to help me
address for mailing label so I could send my brain around real rider out for
repair. His response was why can't somebody in the building do it? The kind of
really rub me the wrong way because it would've only taken him few minutes to
do it. Now I know not to ask him not to help me address anything. And I'm not
going to. Yes he walked me back for the meeting because it ended after nine and
it was after dark and I really didn't want to walk back by myself even though I
could but I would feel safer if I was with another person. But that's just
really got me annoyed. It wasn't like I was asking him to address a bunch of
stuff only one thing and that was it. It's just got me a bit annoyed.

Kathleen,
I can tell you how to move those messages if you have a keyboard. If not, I
can’t tell you as I’ve always used a keyboard with my iDevices instead of my
fingers.

Hi, Kathleen,
I'm glad you have enough food to last you for quite awhile. That's weird that
you're not getting some of your messages from yahoo. I don't know much about
iPhones so I wouldn't be able to help you there but I hope you get the problem
solved soon. I'm glad you didn't lose your power.

Well the construction workers did clump and I have enough food and everything.
All my blankets and sheets or fleece and no I didn't lose power because our
power is under the ground. The only time we would lose it is if there was a
fire underground earth the ocean came in and flooded one of the substations and
that would be it. So I have enough food and everything. But anyway I've got to
figure out why I'm not getting some of my email from Yahoo groups. I don't know
if my provider has a spam filter if it does I don't know where to find it since
I don't use windows. I'm just using the iPhone. But anyway I sure would like to
see one of those no takers at the flying blind company sells. It's too bad they
don't have any financing arrangements if you want to buy stuff like that.
Because that's quite a bit of money to spend But some of the articles they have
a pretty interesting. But anyway I'm just laying here on my bed doing Vail.
That's about it. But no the construction workers did make their noise but not a
lot.

Oh, yesterday they say it was up in the 60s and 70s and today big snow up to 18

storm. Take care and stay inside.
