Well I thought I heard thunder earlier but I'm not sure. If I did it was only
one little clap. So in my worker comes up I'll have to ask her if it's raining
out or something and yes they're working across the hall from me. Oh yes with a
Lexar you can control everything in your house. That's pretty neat I think. Too
bad I can't control a touchscreen coffee maker. I wish it would. Honestly that
would be really neat. But my ham radio teacher I think he might want to part
with Alexa. If he does I'd love to get it but I have to have somebody help me
set it up. Anyway that's really cool. Oh I hear them sign. I hear a power saw.
Oh boy is that making noise. And yes I'm going to extend my birthday. I may
extend it to the weekend but anyway that's OK too. But anyway I will get a
microwave at some point I just may go to one store and Best Buy yes they do
deliver. So it is Home Depot and sold his PC Richards versus a local chain. All
three doodle deliver that's good. But hey what can you do. No thank goodness
I'm not in a wheelchair it's just sometimes the knees get nuts but the Malibu
diner is down the block and everything is within walking distance which is
good. There's another restaurant that I can take a bus to and that's OK. It's
called the Highliner. It used to be called Moonstruck diner. But it changes
name but that's OK.

Glad your ham class is going well, and that would really be nice if you got to
work with Alexa. A friend of mine in Cleveland just got an I-phone and
apparently has somehow gotten Alexa for her apartment. She is almost totally
blind, deaf in one ear and has multiple sclerosis, so bless her, she needs all
of the help she can get!! I gather Alexa can turn down the sound of your TV
or
radio for you. I don't know what else it can do but am very curious about it.
When my brother and sister-in-law get settled here, I may ask them to help me
investigate how it works and what the learning curve is.
I sure don't blame you for hoping and praying you can get through the next
three
months of the construction mayham you've been experiencing!! No, if the
apartment across from mine was getting reconstructed, I wouldn't like it
either,
and I still say all of you tenants should have been consulted beforehand about
changes that were being made to your complex! Granted, I know money issues
take
precedent, but you could have been asked.
I would get onto your landline phone, call Best Buy and the other stores and
ask
to be connected to the department which sells microwaves. Usually you can
get a
microwave for around $100.00, and you'd certainly want to ask about delivery,
whether or not a store can deliver. I suspect the local store would be more
apt
to deliver than a chain store like Best Buy, but again, I could be wrong.

I'm really glad your friend at least could come and help you with mail and
with
getting your dresser drawers straightened out. Oh yes, I've had problems
with a
desk drawer and a bathroom drawer or two not being in the slots on the sides
properly, and sometimes I've been able to get them straightened out on my own
whereas sometimes I haven't been able to do that. Your poor friend's wife. I
can understand why the brailler could not be something he could handle right
now. I sure hope you can get the strength on a nice day to go the distance
between your apartment and the UPS store with it. That would probably be your
best bet, unless your friends with a totally blind person that could help you
and who knows the way to the store. I sure would if I could, Kathleen, and I
can't believe you either don't know more people in your complex who can help
you
or that there aren't some pretty independent people in your complex who could
help you!
