I called the Microsoft disability line this morning and they helped me solve
the problem. What happened was my password wasn't correct acording to the
sign-in message. What the girl did was create a new password for me and I
had her disable it so I could just boot up the computer without having to
sign in. It feels great to be back. I'm not tearing my hair out.

Got a call yesterday from Rosie who explained to me that her computer
was down and was making weird noises. She asked if my computer
problem had been something similar, and I assured her it had not been.
The only thing I could suggest to her was that she might have her
nephew Adrian look over her computer to see if he could figure out
what was going on. Gee, let's hope I haven't started a trend with
computers not working for some time! Not the kind of thing I'd like to be
