Thanks for the nuggets, as usual. Think our lowest was 7 degrees, but
that's plenty close enough to your temps for me! Warming up a bit now,
thank God!
Thanks again,
Nance

Well, we in northeast Minnesota have survived the season's second cold
snap. With highs around zero and lows well below zero last week, the most
prevalent urge was the one to stay inside. Getting through it is certainly
reason enough for five more nuggets, don't ya think? Usual rules. The
dropbox link first; then, the track list.

01 B Bumble and The Stingers, Nut Rocker
This was the second hit for this artist under the name Bee Bumble ("Bumble
Boogie" was the first.) Bee Bumble was really Ernie Freeman, who had one of
the three hit versions of "Raunchy" in 1957, and who recorded the theme
from "Dark at the Top of the Stairs" around the same time he was releasing
these tunes as Bee Bumble..
02 Ernie Freeman - Raunchy
you don't have to listen too closely to this one to detect the piano style
that would later be amplified on the Bee Bumble recordings.
03 Frankie Avalon, Just Ask Your Heart
This summertime 1959 hit was the only Frankie Avalon 45 I ever bought.
04 Johnny Rivers -I Washed My Hands In Muddy Water
If memory serves, this was John's follow-up to "Memphis." I believe it was
also on that "Live at the Whiskey Agogo" LP.
05 Bob and ray, Charles the Poet
Rather typical Bob and Ray stuff here. I believe it to have been a
take-off on a radio show I never heard.
I hope your holidays were most enjoyable, and that your 2017 is a most
happy new year. Have a good Monday and a fine week, and be back here for
more nuggets next week.
