Actually, I prefer ham over turkey, though I have no problem digesting the
bird. But, my brother will go with tradition if he fixes the dinner. My
cousin from Renton, Washington is coming down to help us all celebrate so
likely his sister will host Thanksgiving at their mother’s house. Not sure
whether or not we’re going the three-hour round trip or not partly because of
the pain it might cause my shoulder riding in the car all that distance and
length of time. I’d love it if we would have some ham!

Hi, Tallguy,
I'm so sorry turkey makes you have stomach pain. Yes, we'll probably have
colder weather when ourThanksgiving comes. Actually we don't get snow in the
lower elevation--just up in the mountains.

Thank you so much Karen, for your kind wishes. It is nearing winter here, so
Thanksgiving is very appropriate at this time of year. We had snow on Friday
and Saturday (only a thin layer), and even though it was quite wet, it is still
sticking around on the grassy areas. The sidewalks are all melted (very oddly,
it remained on the mortar between the brick on one walk) and will probably be
gone in a couple of days. We are still in for another day of around freezing
temps (zero degrees) but should warm up all the way to plus 10 by mid-week
(that is all in Celsius, of course).
Maybe by the time your Thanksgiving will come around, you may also have a bit
of the white stuff. Makes everything nice and clean -- but wet and cold!
Rosie, no turkey around me, thank you very much. I can have a little bit of
chicken, but turkey really causes me a lot of stomach pains and discomfort.
Even soup made of turkey bones does not agree with me -- there is something
very odd about that bird! But there are so many other things, I don't even miss
it! Hope all the fellow Canadians enjoy the weekend!!

Hi, everyone,
I'd like to wish all the Canadians on the list a very happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy
all that good turkey and dressing and all the goodies that go with it.
