A few years ago, there was first a play and then a movie called Wait Until
Dark. It’s about a blind woman whose husband is away, and thieves try to break
into her house. Like the movie you’re wanting to buy, it talks about how she
defends herself. I don’t know who the leading actors in the movie were, but at
the end of September, our local theatre guild put it on, and I was asked to
help the woman who played the blind person to appear as if she were blind.
Apparently, there’s a segment at the very beginning where she walks along the
street, and enters her house. They didn’t have a white cane, so I let her use
one that I have, and I showed her how to use it. She wanted to know how I dial
the phone on an old-fashioned dial phone, so I showed her that, too. She asked
how I find things that have dropped onto the floor, so we went over that as
well. We must have been together for a couple of hours. In turn, they gave me
a ticket to the play, and invited me to their cast party after the last

Just thought you’d like to know, there is a new movie out on DVD and blue ray
this
week. It’s called Don’t Breathe. It’s about someone or really a group of evil
doers,
breaking into a blind man’s house, and how he defends himself. I haven’t seen
it
yet. I plan to buy it. I am just a little disappointed though, that film
makers
would publicly divulge our secrets. I know, I don’t want yay whose to know that
I can hear them breathe. So, anyway, thought maybe some of you would be
interested
in watching it. I’m sure it will have described audio too. I have a $10 coupon
to use at Best buy before the 28th, so I’ll probably buy the movie. Can’t wait
to
watch it!
