On a plate where there is ant poison and ants! Yikes! That's enough to make me go running for parts unknown!

Ah, there ya go, Rosie. Now, when you want a recipe, you can just do a find and you're there.Curt loves the peanut butter criss cross cookies and the banana bread. :) I used to cook different cream pies for my mom, though I don't make my own crusts. There are lots of good recipes in there.

I still have that book in braille out in the shed. I also have the Evelyn Lee cookbook, too, and there are some good things in there and some weird things. One thing I would never, ever do that they recommend. They recommend putting your sugar bowl on a paper plate into which you've placed ant powder if you have trouble with ants. Uh, yah. Right. You're gonna touch the plate, then touch the sugar bowl and get poison in your system. Are they out of their minds???

I have a request Karen. I have downloaded this Cooking without Looking book four times now. It says the file size is 681B. When downloads it is 1k. I try to open it and it gives me an error message. Normally, if it’s a txt file it will automatically open notepad. So, is anyone else having this problem? Or, do you need to upload it again and give us a new link. I’d like to have it.

Actually Connie I wouldn't be able to do it. I even have trouble when I make the putting that you cook when you have to stir it. Eventually my hand just gets tired I can do it but I pay for it. Oh wow I remember that cookbook. The book was a long time ago. Unless they updated it. Well maybe after the surgery I'll be able to do it but right now no way. But thank you for the offer. But anyway are you guys freezing to death in Michigan just wondered.

It's really weird how you can get stuff and some places and not in others. No my sister and my mother up in Lockport New York which is up in the western part of the state confines of banana pudding. But I go to the store here and I can't get it. That is so weird. It's really strange how some things are carried in different places. But I guess at some point if I want to banana putting all actually have to order it from craft. That's the same company that makes the Jell-O putting the instant kind in the kind that you cook. So maybe I'll just have to do that. The only thing they say is they only except credit cards only. I asked the lady why at one point and she said to use it except checks but you said people were sending them checks that went bounce. And that doesn't exactly help business. So maybe at some point that's what I'll have to do. But it's really really weird. But anyway today I've just been trying to listen to books. But with all
  the construction

                         ut it.
I was talking to somebody on the phone and I can hardly hear what they were saying. Thank God the construction workers are gone but here we go tomorrow again at least I'll be gone for part of it because I have therapy at 10 AM in the morning. So when I come back I'll come back to all that racket. Oh boy what a pain. And I think they may be working on Monday too. I was hoping since it was a holiday they wouldn't be working from what I understand they might be. Oh boy here we go again. No rest for the weary except on Saturday and Sunday. But I'm still trying to make this other decision. And I'm going to have to talk to a social worker about that one too.

Oh I know where to get the banana putting. There's a bakery here in Manhattan where you can actually get it. And it's pretty good. It has the wafers on top. It's a pain trying to get the banana putting that you cook. Actually my sister has to send it to me because the grocery stores don't carry it. And that's really weird. They carry the vanilla, chocolate, and butterscotch but they don't carry the tapioca or the banana cream. So the only way I can get it eventually is order from craft directly.

Oh, well, darn. If you were out here, I'd make ya some banana bread. It's really quick and easy to do. If you can't make it, maybe you could get some pudding and Nilla wafers and slice some banana in there. That's really good. I remember once, we were going across country, the guy I was married to at the time and our two babies and me. Well, it was a really rough trip for me; I was sick and very worn out at the time. I was just craving banana pudding. My sister-in-law had no idea I was craving it, and when we pulled in to their place one evening to stay, she had supper ready and she had made that wonderful recipe that Lucille Ball had made famous with the meringue on top. Well, I just about cried! I was so grateful to her for making that. God was working to comfort me even in that small thing.

I guess I don't have that requirement here in New York City. The only requirements we have this every five years you get certified for food stamps again or you have to recertify every year you have to recertify for housing. Those of the only things that I know of. I've never heard of Medicaid here doing this. So that's kind of interesting. But it's kind of a new thing for you guys I guess since your SSI out there is bigger although I heard it got cut. But anyway not much is going on here really. I just went downstairs and got my mail and I have a whole ton of it it needs read. I think at the end of January my friend from Arizona is going to come back and she'll read it for me. So basically that's the way that goes. I'd like to possibly have the surgery in February maybe. It just depends on what Dr. Gordon says if he looks at my shoulder. But it still hurts. I guess I could take the digitals if I had to go into a facility. I just wish I would have a room to myself but I probably won't. My mother thinks that I should going to the nursing home for rehab. But I don't know. Megan and I talked about it we'll just see what Dr. Gordon says. I told him I wanted to come home. But I guess I'll be assessed after the surgery. Just to see how it goes. Megan said I'll be wearing a splint I thought it was a slut slut. A sling well sorry about that you guys what Siri just said slut. And I'm not going to redo this message over again either. But anyway she said the probably splint my right arm so it's on my chest. She showed me how most people do it but she wants to see if the team that works with me will adapt it somehow so that I can

I haven't been able to find any yet. I had a friend when she was alive he brought me some but I don't know where she got it. Maybe she made it I don't know. It seems like you get get anything and everything here in New York City but not banana bread. But hopefully after all this surgery is over and everything I hope after the surgery they'll let me have coffee. I don't know. With the morning of the surgery no coffee and that's a real bummer.

The Social Security Administration has a computer interfacewith Medi-Cal which lists all of California's SSI recipients because Social Security is the agency that also gives out the SSI money to people. However, if one is on what is called Medi-Cal Qualified Medicare Beneficiary list, then there is a form that gets sent out toward the end of the year. Apparently mine went through fine as I'm still getting Medi-Cal to pay for my Medicare Part B, but aside from that, I haven't heard from them, so I guess at least in my case, no news is good news.
