Oo, Vickie, how horrible and how frightening. I’m sure glad you and Mary made
it through that horrible piece of snowy highway in one piece! I heard about a
poor guy who had one wheel of a truck he had to drive for delivery off of a
road and hanging down a cliff. This would have been in the mountain area north
of the Bay Area during one of the most recent storms at a time mud slides were
happening in the area. Luckily, someone from Cal Trans (the agency which
cleans up mud slides and assists stranded drivers) helped him to make sure the
truck stayed on the road. He said he was never so frightened in his life. I
sure don’t envy drivers during winter storms as conditions can be so
treacherous!

praying we wouldn’t get hit by one of the nine semi trucks that were passing
by, or crashed on the side of the road. Very frightening. We were in a mini

the snow capital I use to say. Had some scary rides through K Zoo during my
life in Michigan. Both in my early years with mom and dad, traveling from
Benton Harbor to Pontiac, and later in my work years, traveling to present at
the training center in Kalamazoo while working for the Commission. Not my
favorite place to live for sure!

That is a lot of snow. The weather has been crazy here too. It is now 14
degrees and tomorrow we are supposed to get into the 40s. Stay safe and warm
