Dear Members and friends - Pat Rogan has found an opportunity for us at the Corona Home Gardens Library. Pat's contact at the Library, Nancy, visited Barn 1 at SCRM last weekend and was very impressed with our layout and KRT. So impressed, that she is asking us to set up and run 7 days in late January (rather than waiting until August). Nancy is anxious for an answer from OCMR. She already has approval from her boss.

Harry has agreed to Czar with Pat as Co-Czar. The EC has not reviewed this proposal and we do not meet until Tuesday November 29th at Denny's (after Thanksgiving). Due to that, and since there is no business meeting in December, I am sending out this note to see what interest each member has in this proposed setup. Please let us know if you would place modules in this  layout, and/or you would support by attending and running trains. Your answers will be used to judge viability, not a commitment at this time. Our next Business meeting is January 10th, only two weeks before this proposed layout/show. Due to that, and the holidays and the Kaleidoscope show, we will need to communicate via  email and phone calls to make these  decisions, design a layout, arrange transport, and ensure member participation.

The layout will be ~ 22'x32' in a room of 28'x39'. The room will be locked and is secured by an alarm.Location is one off ramp past the I15 on the 91, then two blocks south.

Not yet known: how many hours must our. layout be operated each day? How many hours of KRT are desired? Probable dates are set up on January 23rd, run/operate for 7 days with take down on final day January 30th.

Pat and Hsrry believe only 4 member's modules are needed: two sets of 16', one 8' and one 12'.

Please respond as soon as possible with your views. You may "reply all" and every one will see your answers, or write a new email and send it directly to me, Harry and/or Pat to avoid broadcasting your answers. We need member input BEFORE agreeing to do this show.

Very truly yours,

Van Schultz, President OCMR
