Dear friends and family:

Time is flying, even if I am not. Tim and Evan have one more week of school
and Nate has a week and a half. There is so much to do before summer tour
starts, but soon we?ll be on the road. God is the great healer, and if I
don?t try to push Him, I?ll be ready to travel by then. (Besides, have you
ever tried to push God? It makes you really tired!) Vic is healing too, with
help for the physical therapist and the chiropractor.

Our schedule is quite full for Out of the Box this summer. We have a week in
August and one in June that are still open. If you know of a group who could
use our ministry, please get in touch with us very soon. We also have a few
Sunday dates open, so feel free to call us with ideas. God knows where we
need to be. 

My doctor has given the okay for physical therapy to begin, but my insurance
company has not approved it. Please pray that we can get started very soon,
so I?ll be ready to draw the first week of June. Nathan is planning to be
ready just in case I am not. He?s quite an artist, especially for twelve. We
want to design a picture for him, either way.

We will have an intern this summer from Kentucky Mountain Bible College. Her
advisors see value in what she can learn through Out of the Box. It is great
to be able to pass on what we have learned. We have begun to work with her to
get her personal testimony down on paper and define her jobs. She is still
in class for the next couple weeks, so that takes priority. Pray God will
bless her time with fresh knowledge.

The work here at Bethany Christian Mission Center continues to grow and
change. Please pray for us as we experience growing pains, work out staff
housing and summer scheduling. Pray for safety for our work teams and
blessings and growth for each volunteer. They are such a help to those of us
who work here throughout the year. Projects we could never accomplish are
finished in no time. Pray for Phil and Laura and the other staff as they take
short summer breaks, shift gears in their work, and as they fill in the spot
we are leaving for the summer.

We so appreciate knowing that you are there and lifting us up throughout the
year. In this summer of incredible ministry opportunities, long miles, high
gas prices, and changeable weather, it is so good to know that you are praying
and caring. May God bless you all as the springtime brings new life. He is
able! Come see us if you are anywhere near where we are this summer. We
would love to see you.

In His service, Vic, Linda, Tim, Evan and Nate Schiro

P.S. Dogs growl at you when you blow in their faces, but you put them in the
car and the first thing they want to do is stick their head out the window to
feel the wind on their faces. What?s up with that?
