Maybe list sends incoming mails out to everyone, in which case I’ll see it too.
I started the original list with one other guy around the turn of the century
or maybe even before that -1998 ? . The other was Roger ( have forgotten his
other name) who maybe is no longer in the orchid world. He was something of an
expert on English native orchids, and gave talks to local orchid SSocieties -
maybe Wessex, and Bournemouth.
We started it after being members of an American group where the posts were at
a rather commonplace level “hey folks I bought an orchid at Maceys, its lost
its leaves. What do I do with it now”. Sort of thing. I don’t mock beginners,
but there was little or nothing for us, in that group.
The IPS who hosted it, changed the rules, and then Tricia stepped in and took
over all the hard work. What a splendid job you have done for us Tricia. My
thanks, and the same from everyone I’m sure.
I shall read the answer to the enquiry about pics with interest, and then
make a start, once our big show at HighcliffeCastle is over
