Hi Paul,
What motor did you get from Aloft Hobbies? I contacted them and they said they
have 1400, 400 in stock but not 1300.

We are going to try Slow Stick Pylon Racing again. And we are going to try
E-stang pylon racing a try after the Slow Stick event. The races are
scheduled for August 15th so you have plenty of time to dust off your Slow
Stick(s) and get you new E-stang completed and all set to go.
Here are the Slow Stick rules-- with a few minor modifications:
THE AIRPLANE:
• Stock GWS Slow-Stick with either flat or dihedral wing.
• May trim off wing tips to 1st rib.
• May have ailerons and/or rudder. Either rudder or ailerons or both.
• Ailerons cut no larger than indicated on wing.
• Any 3 cell LIPO battery may be used.
• Must be flown with GWS 9X5 prop.
• Standard motor must be used: a 1300 KV 400 size motor. These are
available from John Castleman, and Hobbypartz
http://www.hobbypartz.com/86ma7 l-2215- I 300kv .html , and sometimes from ;
valuehobby.com. When they are out of stock, any 400 size motor with 1300
kv or less can be used. <>
• Please use paint or decals to make your plane unique, especially the
vertical stabilizer. Go nuts!
SLOW STICK RACE:
• Slow-Stick must ROG on signal from starter.
• Must fly at least as far as two pylons placed on runway. Approx. 200
feet. (??)
• You must complete 5 laps around this course to complete a heat.
• Each flyer will fly four heats, with a max of four three planes in any
one heat.
• There will be a one lap penalty for cutting the pylon (not going far
enough).
• Two cuts and you are DQ'd, or no points earned in that heat.
• One point is awarded for each flyer in the heat. In a four plane heat,
first place gets 4 points, second place gets 3 points, third place will
receive 2 points, fourth place will receive 1 point. Zero points if DQ'd
or if do not finish 5 laps. In a three plane heat, first place gets 3
points, second place gets 2 points, third place will receive 1 point, Zero
points if DQ'd.
• Pilots with the most points will fly against each other; those with the
fewest points will fly against each
other. For the first heat of the season, pilots will be assigned based on
standings from previous year with new pilots at the low end of the list.
Each day, the first heat will be seeded based on overall point totals.
Remaining heats of the day will be seeded based on results of that day's
heats.

For the E-stang, get a kit from John Castleman, 922 NW Comyn Rd,
Poulsbo, WA 98370, Phone: 360 779 4828. Use a motor up to 1300 kv, a 9x5
prop and a battery up to 1300 1200 mAh.
These will be fun and, more than likely, exciting events, so come on out even
if you plan not to race. Just watching is worth the trip to the field.
