different jobs to be done at the ORCA field this Saturday but we would always
welcome more participants so we can finish earlier and fly afterward.Jobs:1.
John Hamilton, Dave Ely and Rick M. will be trimming bushes along the road on
the Peterson property.2. Grant Wood will be inspecting tables and removing
extraneous screws and nails to make the tables safer to be around. Please lend
a hand to Grant to help place tables onto blocks of wood as needed to make them
level.3. Ken M. will be shaking the fire extinguisher (what no martinis?) to
prolong its usefulness.4. Paul Below has already started going through the 1st
aid boxes and has made a list of of replacing and replenishing materials as
needed.5. Grant Wood is also sewing grass seed on the bare spots on the field.
Grass seed can be found in the sea-container.6. Ken M. is also cleaning up the
bulletin board and making a list of papers that need to be renewed/updated.7.
Richard P. will be fixing corners of tables and then painting the table tops.8.
George M. will be cleaning the Windsock and attaching streamers to the pole.9.
Ken M. will also re-label the “Sand Battery Fire Can” and remove any trash.10.
Ed Sisk and Rick M. will assess the black berry growth from trails to the
swamp.11. We need someone to help replace parts of the orange safety fence in
the cut out of the fence cut out just south of the center of the field.12.
After all that we will do a general policing of the area picking up bits of
trash etc. and then go fly some planes if the wx allows.And … bring your own
