Hi Jake,
I have not removed the gas tank to check for an internal filter. There is no
filter in the line. When I take off the carb I will check to see if there is a
screen there. It might be a hung up float or the needle might need a new
rubber gasket as it might have succumbed to alcohol in the fuel.

Hi Richard,
Is there a fuel filter that may be clogged?

Hi Daniel,
Tnx for the mower. I got an air cleaner at ACE. I put some gas in it and
got it started after 15 primes and 10 pull starts. It runs a few minutes
and then goes lean and quits. If I prime it while it is cutting out it will
run a bit longer as long as I am pushing the priming button. I am guessing
that the float is stuck up or if there is a main jet adjustment it needs to
be backed out a bit. Did you ever have the carb apart? Is there a high
speed adjustment screw on this carb. I found a small brass screw on the
side of the carb right above the float bowl, but it doesn’t seem to adjust
the mixture. What is your experience with this engine?
I looked on line at “University of U-tube” but there are so many different
kinds of carbs I did not see a tutorial on one exactly like the one on the
mower.
Tnx in advance for any advise,
