My former company used backtrack all the time. It was a very easy to use and reliable piece of software. We also had their ADSM connectivity software so were able to write out backups directly to both a Tape and a CD tower setup. Our OS was AIX. But, as others have said here, it is not cheap. We actually got into it when it was dirt cheap. But, over the years, the cost has gone way up. -----Original Message----- From: jtesta@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jtesta@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, June 21, 2004 9:25 AM To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: sql backtrack question Has anyone out there used that product, specifically the snapshot edition or the incremental backup pieces? if so, good/bad/otherwise comments would be a appreciated. thanks, joe ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html ----------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
