The max size of any datafile is a factor of the block size of the tablespace associated with that datafile. Right off hand I don't know what the restricton for 2k block size would be, but I'm fairly certain that it's much smaller than 20GB. However, I'd look toward reducing the size of datafile /dev/rvd_bptrnext8 from the almost 20 GB that is specified. From that error message, it appears there would be a file size limit of 7.99 GB. -----Original Message----- From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Fuad Arshad Sent: Tuesday, September 14, 2004 11:34 AM To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: problem with creating non default blocksize tablespace I've already set the db_2k_cache_size is there a limitation for setting this up. what do i need to check . what am i doing wrong. couldnt find anything on metalink nor the docs.
