Disk group names are assigned by the installer or creator. It's something you
or your predecessor named. Their usage is also purely up to the DBA, not
oracle.

I know how to add to a regular diskgroup but isn’t flash associated with
backup?
Do I have to add to the this diskgroup or is it a growth/shrink type
