RE: fatal: libodm9.so: open failed [ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact ]

It is almost like a cloned instance. In fact, we backup/restored all the oracle 
related filesystems and reinstalled Solaris 8 from scratch.
I am not quite sure about Oracle Data Mining (ODM).
 
# pwd
/oracle/SB1/920_64/lib
# ls -l libodm*.so
lrwxrwxrwx   1 oradv1   dba           11 Jun 28 19:42 libodm9.so -> libodmd9.so
-rwxrwxrwx   1 orasb1   dba         9064 Aug 13  2003 libodmd9.so

Is this a new instance or cloned from one where ODM was enabled? Check to see 
if you have a line $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libodm9.so pointing to 
$ORACLE_HOME/lib/libodmd9.so
