I assume “oel81” is the name of the node being added, correct? I would confirm
the following first. Often see issues with incorrect cluster interconnect
names. The network interface name must be the same on all nodes of the cluster.
Did cluvfy run successfully as the GI owner before the addnode process?
cluvfy stage -pre nodeadd -n oel81 -verbose
Does the interface for the “PRIVATE” network exist on the new node with the
exact INTERFACE_NAME as the existing nodes of the cluster?
$(grep ^ORA_CRS_HOME /etc/init.d/init.ohasd | awk -F= '{print $2}')/bin/oifcfg
iflist -p -n -hdr

Subject: error from root.sh on addnode process
Hi-
I am running the root.sh script as the final step in the addnode process, and I
keep on getting the error below:
CRS-41053: checking Oracle Grid Infrastructure for file permission issues
PRVG-12855 : Configured private networks "192.168.130.0" with subnet masks ""
do not exist on nodes "oel81".
CRS-4000: Command Start failed, or completed with errors.

the Grid Infrastructure home /u01/app/grid

line 1891.
I can ping on that interface to all nodes, and passwordless ssh is set up on
that interface, any idea what is causing the error?
This is personal setup on vmware workstation for experimentation purposes...
