It is not applicable to Flashback Database, Flashback Drop, or Flashback Data Archive." http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28318/consist.htm#CIHEEBGF "Flashback Query does not work through DDL operations that modify columns, or drop or truncate tables."
