So, I have been doing some rac to single instance data guard setups, and I
have found a couple of blogs which said that when using RAC 12c and above,
a static listener entry is not required for the RAC side of data guard. I
have found a metalink note that says the static listener entry is still
required. An sr says the static listener entry is still needed, but it
only cites the metalink note, so I give that only about a 50% chance of
being correct. Has anyone hear tried this? I have always set up the static
listener entry, and I expect it doesnt hurt. But is it required?
