Good Morning Nilesh,
This is coming from the former member of the EM Team that used to get all the
large customers with AIX, HP-UX and Windows:
GET IT ALL ON LINUX.
That is a strong recommendation from someone who used to manage customers that
were primarily non-Linux environments. You will have a better experience,
increased support and quicker access to the best of the product.
Pete and Courtney- you can stop laughing now. :)

Nilesh, I am confused by your post. The OEM repository is upgraded when you
upgrade OEM and has no direct relation to the database version. That is, OEM
12c repository can be hosted on as old a version of the RDBMS as 10.2.0.5.
Are you upgrading OEM or the backend database that hosts the repository. If
you want to rehost the repository into a different database .
If you have support access take a look at the following two support notes
EM 12c R2: How to Upgrade to EM 12c R2 - One System Method (Doc ID 1360076.1)
EM 12c: How to Upgrade to EM 12.1.0.5 - Two System Method (Doc ID 1363162.1)

Subject: Upgrading Repository database
Hello All,
I have to upgrade the repository database i.e. OEM database.
It is hosted on AIX and the version is 12.1.0.1.0 to 12.2.0.1.0
Oms is hosted on windows box and its version is 12.1.0.4.0, there are around
500+ targets registered in OMS.
Could you please advise how to upgrade the repository database.
I thought of upgrading via expdp by creating a new DB in 12.2 and then
importing from source DB 12.1 and then renaming the database on the same host.
After that I thing I have to register the OMS to 12.2 newly created and
imported DB, but not sure of this as I have not tried earlier. Is it a good
approach.
Any specific steps that need to be done on repository database as part of the
upgrade.
Please share and advise if there are any docs or note for this.
