Ok, I had to add the owner in front of the table_name to get it to work.
Is there any way around this? There is a synonym set up for the table
already.

Drop any table is the privilege you need. =20

Subject: Truncate Privilege

Can someone tell me what privilege is needed for a user to truncate a
table that is not owned by that user?

I have looked at Metalink and it states the Drop Any Table privilege,
but this doesn't work either. The user can select, insert, and even
delete from the table. =3D20

Thank you, Laura
