I'm imagining that a lot of these queries weren't run in test - the main = concern is the OLTP system and a lot of these queries are evolving as = they roll the query tool out to the users. I'm not horribly concerned by it, as the OLTP system is fine and 99% of = the user queries are going OK. It was curiosity more than anything. As = the long running queries are brought to my attention, it gives us a = chance to look at the SQL and try to teach the query writers to use = better query structure - for example the two from this week have both = been dropped from running in exceess of 30 minutes to now running in 90 = seconds for one and 25 seconds for the other - they just need to learn = to set up there where clauses in such a way to make use of the available = indexes. But since I'd seen a few notes on Metalink about it, I figured I'd ask = here if anyone had seen like behavior before.
