Have a look at the ibm jdbc test tool. I have used it in the past to verify
jdbc connections

Subject: Test for jdbc connection?

List,

I am configuring a Java JDBC connection to a database (which I don't manage). I
am able to connect using SQL*Plus, but the java connection gets the error:

ORA-28030: Server encountered problems accessing LDAP directory service.

Of course, the JDBC connection doesn't connect the same way SQL*Plus does.

Does anyone know how to simulate a JDBC connection to maybe get more connection
details?

Thanks,
Dennis Williams
