Hi Stephen, yes, SecureFiles (even without deduplication / compression) usually perform better than the classic BasicFiles. There are several benchmarks from Oracle or independent researchers - just for example: - http://www.trivadis.de/uploads/tx_cabagdownloadarea/LOB_Komprimierung_mit_Oracle_11g.pdf (page 4) - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/perf-087187.html - https://petesdbablog.wordpress.com/2014/02/11/boost-your-database-performance-with-securefiles/ However only trust your own statistics and better use the "SecureFiles Test Kit" from Oracle for benchmarking your environment: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/sftestkit-099298.html Best Regards Stefan Koehler Freelance Oracle performance consultant and researcher Homepage: http://www.soocs.de Twitter: @OracleSK > stephen van linge <dmarc-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> hat am 11.
