What a timely topic. The powers to be at our shop decided to purchase a separate server pool for SSD disks to be allocated to a database earmarked for an EDW project. Like the original article in this thread - I'm unsure as to what do with it. For example, would it make sense to create a separate ASM disk group consisting of just the SSD Luns and allocate the hot segments to this disk group in this database?
