These days I use SQLd360 (by Mauro Pagano) every single day. With it I can
easily visualize things like: performance of multiple execution plans for
the same SQL, data distribution as per CBO Histograms, history of values
for binds, where in a plan most time is spent, and many more.
The two main reasons I use SQLd360 as my core SQL Tuning tool are:
1. Installs nothing on the database
2. It is free (you do have to have Tuning or Diagnostics Pack Licenses to
get the best of this tool although)
