Mysteriously the supplier we were talking to tried putting -nowait in the
command as they did before and hey presto it worked this time! Grr. !

We are trying to do a silent install of the Oracle client on windows but

On Linux you can send the installation into background with nohup and
that will suppress the message, Not sure about Windows. Why would anyone
want to install Oracle on Windows?
