Subject: Radius server setup
Hello –
I am trying to setup a Radius server for the 1st time for my database.
I am running Oracle database 12.1 on Linux 6. I have a Radius server setup on
a separate server. I have updated my sqlnet, ora to start to use the Radius
server for logins. I was also using the Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) for
authentication up to this point. I want to now switch over to use the Radius
server which pulls the users from OUD.
I run the command line test using ‘radtest’, which is successful. I then run a
test from the database, but it fails with ‘Invalid username/password’ error.
My network guy was able to tell me that the instance is sending the login
attempt to the OUD, and not to the Radius server. This frustrating to me since
have updated sqlnet.ora file define the Radius server ip address.
Any ideas about what else to check??? Has anyone else experienced this before?
How did you fix it?
